At SPaCE, we understand that every child is unique, and so are their educational needs. With over 40 years of combined experience in the complex needs sector, founders Siobhan and Dene have dedicated their careers to creating environments where children with diverse and severe needs can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Who We Are
SPaCE is a tailored educational provision designed to support children with complex and challenging needs. Drawing on decades of expertise in SEN schools, specialised provisions, and trauma-informed approaches, we provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people who require more than a traditional educational setting can offer.
Dene and Siobhan bring extensive hands-on experience to SPaCE:
- Dene has worked across a variety of settings, including SEN schools and specialised provisions, focusing on supporting children with the most complex needs. As a CPI safety instructor for over 10 years and a Designated Safeguarding Lead, his empathetic approach stems from his personal experience of the care system, giving him a unique perspective on the challenges faced by vulnerable young people.
- Siobhan has similarly spent years in the complex needs sector, with a particular focus on creating cohesive educational frameworks that integrate care, therapeutic support, and academic achievement. Her commitment to fostering positive outcomes for children with additional needs has been a driving force in shaping SPaCE.
