Our Core Values

Adapt

Forming strong links with parents, supporting home learning, modelling communication with parents and their child.
Working in partnership with other agencies and professionals. Using a cohesive approach to providing a therapeutic, trauma informed and inspiring curriculum.
Supporting children and young people to regulate their emotions and behaviour. Encouraging them to engage in learning, modelling and developing social and emotional skills.
Encouraging independence and resilience, to ease them into returning to school or improving attendance.

Learn

In the natural environment, where research supports the benefits of being outside, for engagement, regulation and physical and mental health.
Using forest school approaches with practical, purposeful, hands-on learning. Offering intrinsically motivating tasks that provoke a natural sense of awe and wonder, inspiring children to engage and want to learn more.
Learning how to learn, how to communicate with others, how to use and apply problem solving skills.
Empowering parents, teaching and support staff, to fully understand and embed strategies and interventions that will improve outcomes for all involved.

Grow

Preparing students to return to the classroom, to school, supporting them to become and to feel like part of their community.
Supporting other colleagues and settings across the region, to enhance their skills within SEND and develop their potential provision, raising awareness of a trauma informed, child centred approach.
Empowering students with complex needs to continue to access education. Through a unique, bespoke curriculum using preparation for learning, personal development and re-integration into formal education.
