Exciting news ahead! Dene and Siobhan have been accepted on to the Trauma Informed in Schools UK, Diploma course. Their studies will begin in February 2025, which will mark the start of SPaCE’s journey to becoming a Trauma Informed provision. On completion of the diploma, Siobhan and Dene will be fully qualified practitioners.
A little more information about the diploma and what it entails:
A practical skills-based course, underpinned by evidence-based research studies. Designed to inform and empower staff to respond effectively to vulnerable children/ young people who have experienced trauma and/or have mental health issues by delivering interventions addressing mild to moderate mental health problems, with a focus on recovery.
